Diagnosis
The probability that you have OSA can be assessed using simple screening methods. However, an overnight diagnostic test will be necessary to confirm a diagnosis of OSA and evaluate its severity. This test can be carried out in your own home, and is now available at Hardings Pharmacy (the Murrumba Downs pharmacy specialises in this field). Please click for more information about our Sleep Apnoea Tests.
Treatment
Continuous Positive Airway Pressure (CPAP) is the recommended treatment for OSA. CPAP will prevent your upper airway from collapsing during sleep by providing a flow of air through your nose/face using a mask. Regular CPAP use may help reduce the health consequences of OSA. We now have a large range of CPAP machines and accessories, come in to our Murrumba Downs store to find out more.
